LAST CHANCE TO PRACTICE this SAT 5/2 at 9AM. Please respond to this Evite if you'll be attending.

NEW PADDLERS - you're all doing a GREAT JOB!

There are some new paddlers who are "on the fence" about racing on SUNDAY. Guys, this is the perfect time to experience your first dragon boat race, there will be quite alot of beginners on the teams against whom you'll be racing! It should be lots of fun . . .

Novice paddlers: you are allowed three (3) free practices. You will need to pay dues in order to continue to paddle with us!

I will be sending out another e-mail with more details about our race on SUN (Evite restricts the length of messages). REMEMBER - THE RACE IS AT MARINE STADIUM (5255 E. Paoli Way if you want to Google it) NOT AT MOTHER'S BEACH.

REMINDER: - "A" TEAM - WE ARE IN RACE PRACTICE MODE STARTING THIS WEEKEND. MANDATORY SUNDAYS for the "A" team starting this SUN. The Spring Race is 3 weeks away! (You can also still attend on SAT's but we need ALL OF YOU on SUN's) .

PRACTICES SAT & SUN THIS WEEKEND! Please respond to this Evite with the day(s) you'll be attending.

AGAIN, LOCAL RACE IS MAY 3RD SUNDAY - please make arrangements to be there!

REMINDER: DUES ARE NOW DUE! $40 if you're an Aerospace employee or active military, $50 for all other adults. $30 for high school and under. PLEASE give check or cash to treasurer Anthony Luna.

Need to know if you will be participating in this "fun" event. It will be a good chance to meet paddlers from other teams and still get a workout! **NO AERODRAGON PRACTICE ON SAT OR SUN (EASTER SUNDAY).** This Treasure Hunt will be the only chance to paddle next weekend!

FROM THE ORGANIZERS OF THE TREASURE HUNT:

Welcome to the first SCDBC Treasure Hunt!
All SCDBC members are welcome to participate in this team building event. Come ready to paddle and meet your fellow SCDBC members.

We'll assign individuals to crews randomly. Each crew will be given a set of clues to solve by paddling around the bay. You will have to cooperate to solve the clues and manage your team's effort. You'll have a set time to find your clues before returning to Mothers Beach. The crew with the most correct answers will be declared the winner.

PLEASE BE READY TO PADDLE AT 9 AM!
We'll go over the rules, assign the crews and get you on the water as soon as possible. After all the crews return within the time limit, we'll determine the winners and clean the boats. Projected end time: 11 am.

TEAM CAPTAINS: Please respond with the total number of participants from your team. Do not add individuals to the evite.

Please be advised that the projected maximum is 8 crews of 22.
If it becomes necessary, we will limit the number of participants, with priority given to teams in the order they reply.

THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED with our Family & Fun Day on SAT, especially DEE for the chairs and dragon head/tail and DEBS for the waters and Easter candy. It was a successful event and we're hoping we'll start seeing some new faces at our practices . . .

TREASURE HUNT SPECIAL EVENT SAT APR 11 - ALL THE SCDBC TEAMS will be getting together, random people will be picked to form teams and 8 boats will be going on a treasure hunt around the bay. This event is limited to the first 15 people that RSVP to me ASAP!

RECRUITING/FAMILY DAY FOR AERODRAGONS!

Hi Everyone . . .

Family & Friends Day is fast approaching - please RSVP with the number of friends/family you'll be bringing with you for the day. At the least, we'd like you to bring 1 new person to paddle with us.

AGENDA:

9:00AM - Registration
9:30AM - Training on Land/Warm-Up
10:00AM - 11:30AM - On the water
12:00PM - 1:00PM - LUNCH
1:00PM on . . . volleyball? more dragon boat?

We will have BBQ from Naples Ribs again, also would like some of you to bring desserts if you can?

Please bring a beach chair or blanket for yourself
