CHINA TRIP - China Dragon Boat Association is inviting teams to two races: June 19-ChangSha and June 24-ShangYang. CDBA will cover transportation, food, hotel & will sponsor $6500 for team airline fares. Contact Dr. Chen at DRCHEN@LBDRAGONBOAT.COM ASAP if you are interested!

STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS to monitor teams on the beach the following Saturdays: June 25 and July 2 from 7A until after the last boat leaves the water. We need TWO (2) people at all times on the beach. Please sign up for at least 2 hour or more shifts if possible. I'll have sign-up sheets at practice. THIS IS PART OF OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A VETERAN (YEAR-ROUND) TEAM.
PRACTICE this WED, SAT and SUN. Please RSVP for days that you will be at practice and make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 5:30P WED (6P ON THE WATER), 9:30A SAT and/or 8:30A SUN. WEDNESDAY PADDLERS - if you're running late and the boat's just left, stick around and we will make a pass by the beach to check for stragglers . . .
REMINDER: Make sure you have something to eat in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..), Your body needs food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.
