Wish the MIAMI Crew luck this weekend at the South Florida Dragon Boat Festival . . .
Practice this SAT ONLY. Street closures will be in effect on SUN for the Long Beach Marathon . . .
PRACTICE on SAT is at 9:30A on L1 Blue Boat (the small one). COACH DEE says maintain your sets to 30 sit-ups/push-ups and add stretching to your regimen. PLEASE RSVP and make sure you arrive at 9:30A SAT for warm-up.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS - in the future, please try to park in either the metered parking OR the Boy Scouts parking lot (south side of the 2nd St. Bridge). Do NOT park on Appian way if at all possible.
SAVE THE DATE - SAT OCT 22, 9AM, Boat Repair/Maintenance Day - no practice. We will all pitch in to help sand and varnish the boats along with the other year-around teams.
SAVE THE DATE - SAT NOV 5, 10AM, Mary/Jerry's house - AERODRAGON GENERAL MEETING in lieu of practice. AGENDA: Elections, next year's race schedule, other miscellaneous business (ski day, ice-skating day, volleyball day, biking day, etc.).
VICE PRESIDENT AND TREASURER positions are open. If you're interested, you must be accessible to Aerospace Corp (El Segundo) to attend AEA meetings, sign checks. Nominations are being accepted - please send to me!
REMINDER 1: Eat something in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..). Your body needs food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.
