AeroDragons ---

2006 MEMBERSHIP DUES are DUE. Dues are $50, $40 for Aerospace employees - check made out to "AEA AeroDragons Club" - give to Lorie Chan or myself . . . NEWBIES/GUESTS will be allowed THREE (3) practices GRATIS (free). After THREE practices, you will be considered a TEAM MEMBER and you MUST pay dues in full.

LARD will be holding Beginner Steering and Coaching Clinics THIS SUN 12/4 - let me know if you are interested. Steering clinic is from 11A-1P and costs $20; Coaching clinic is from 1P-2:30P and costs $15.

SAVE THE DATE - SAT 1/14 - OUTRIGGER DAY.

Remember to RSVP to your NAPLES BOAT PARADE evite!

PRACTICES this SAT 9:30A and SUN 8:30A on C2 Yellow Boat. COACH DEE says continue your land training and stretching --- we're up to POWER 80's this weekend.

PLEASE RSVP FOR THE DAY YOU'RE COMING and make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 9:30A SAT or 8:30A SUN for warm-up.

REMINDER 1: Eat something in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..). Your body needs food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.

AeroDragons ---

No practice on SAT, but some of you expressed interest in practice on SUN.

Coach wants to know how many of you would be interested in working off those Thanksgiving calories this SUN at normal practice time (8:30A) --- if you would like to paddle, please RSVP to this evite. Coach says it will be an "easy" practice . . .

For next weekend's practices, we're up to POWER 80's. Remember to do your land training and stretches . . .

AeroDragons ---

NAPLES BOAT PARADE is SAT, December 17th. We'll meet on the beach at 2PM to help decorate the boat and have early dinner before joining the boat parade at 6PM.

The route is counterclockwise around Naples Island and through the canals --- we have candy canes to throw to the crowd again.

Details are forthcoming, but for now we need to have a count of how many of you will be participating (if you have guests, including kids, please include in this count) - so we know how many boats to take out . . .

Hi Guys ---

Team Bike Ride Day in lieu of practice SAT 11/19 - From Dockweiler Beach (just south of LAX) to Venice/Santa Monica. We'll meet on the bike path at the end of Imperial Hwy (see map). There's free parking on Vista del Mar.

MEET AT 7:30AM - we'll go up through Playa del Rey and have breakfast at Edie's Diner in Marina del Rey then continue up to Santa Monica/Venice . . . bring your bike locks, bike repair kit (if you have one), sunscreen and water/Gatorade

You can also ROLLERBLADE instead of bike (a couple of people will do this so we have a couple of bikes if you don't have one)

PRACTICE is still ON for the next day SUN 11/20.

Please RSVP for the BIKE DAY on SAT and/or PRACTICE on SUN!

NO PRACTICE THANKSGIVING WEEKEND 11/26 & 11/27. Practice will resume on 12/3 & 12/4.

CONGRATULATIONS to our newly elected officers Judy Shimamura (VP) and Lorie Chan (Treasurer) --- MANY THANKS to outgoing officers Paul Su and Frances Vien for their help this last couple of years!

THANKS to all of you who completed the AeroDragon survey and attended our general meeting on SAT --- your input is greatly appreciated. Meeting minutes (thank you Pat!) are up in the "AeroDragons Only" section of the website this week --- if you don't know the password e-mail me at meltonm@earthlink.net and I'll send it to you!

FROM COACH DEE: Congrats to the "6-Pack" (Jo, Janet, Lorie, Allita, Wil & Ming) on a fine job - Eric, we'll get you off the steering oar to get you up to speed too!

SAVE THE DATES: SAT 11/19 - 7:30AM Bike Ride Day from Torrance to Venice and back (easy ride - we'll stop for Breakfast & Lunch); SAT 12/17 - NAPLES BOAT PARADE at 6PM on Mothers Beach (we'll meet for decorating and dinner at 2PM).

BRYAN from Canada has sent us his pics - they're up on the web including Miami JUMP Shot and more Opium Garden shots . . .
