CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LAS VEGAS CREW for winning both 1st Place in the Competitive Division AND the Champion of Champions Award for fastest average time for all 3 races! SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO JANET AND JO (THE LO SISTAHS) - winning 1st Place in the Team Drummer competition.
IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN BUYING A BLACK BURNWATER CARBON FIBER PADDLE - let me know ASAP - the Long Beach teams are trying to get an order together for a discount rate - not sure how much yet . . .
LONG BEACH LOCAL RACE IS SUNDAY MAY 14TH - MANDATORY SAT PRACTICE FOR LOCAL LONG BEACH RACE CREW this SAT.
LAND TRAINING --- Coach says maintain your reps to 4 sets of 40 at 4X/week. Keep STRETCHING. . .
PRACTICE WED/SAT/SUN --- PLEASE RSVP for WED/SAT/SUN practice, make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 6:00PM WED, 9:30AM SAT and/or 8:30AM SUN for warm-up.
REMEMBER in case of rain/sewage spill or other extenuating circumstance, find out status of practice by calling my cell phone at (310) 749-3592 after 8:00 AM on day of practice for a recorded message . . .
EAT YO'SELF SOMETHIN' in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..). Your body needs food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.

LAS VEGAS CREW --- NO PRACTICE THIS WED 4/19 --- instead, concentrate on MAJOR S-T-R-E-T-C-H-I-N-G in preparation for our races this weekend.
Non-LAS VEGAS AeroDragons who would still like to go out on WED, Mike will be taking a boat out at 6PM (be there at 5:45P) . . .
If you ordered a team jersey --- prices are now $26 for short-sleeve and $28 for long-sleeve version. Check payable to AEA AeroDragons or cash - to Lorie Chan or myself.
THANKS to all who attended the Team Meeting/Potluck/Poker/MahJong Party - meeting minutes (thanks Pat!) will be up in the AeroDragons Only section later this week . . .

DATES FOR LONG BEACH DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL HAVE BEEN FINALIZED FOR THE WEEKEND OF JULY 29 & 30, 2006! No word on Hawaii Dragon Boat Festival yet . . .
WEDNESDAY PRACTICES start THIS Wednesday (4/12) --- at 6PM. We need to have AT LEAST 6 PEOPLE TO PRACTICE - PLEASE RSVP ASAP IF YOU'RE COMING WEDNESDAY!
SAVE THE DATE - Thursday May 11th is The Aerospace Corporation Heritage Month Celebration. Need volunteers to help man our table to recruit Air Force/Aerospace employees for AeroDragons. Need you from 10A to 1P --- AeroDragons will provide lunch!
NEW RACING JERSEYS will be here by 4/15. Cost for short-sleeved version is $36. Long-sleeved version is $38. Please make a check out to "AEA AeroDragons" or exact change to Lorie Chan or me.

SAVE THE DATE --- MANDATORY TEAM DINNER MEETING/ VEGAS POKER NIGHT FOR LAS VEGAS CREW 6PM ON SAT 4/15 (non-Las Vegas crew is invited too!) --- at Mary & Jerry's --- we need to go over videos, talk about strategy, trip logistics, hand out jerseys, practice rolling dice, etc.

COACH SAYS MAKE SURE YOU ARE DOING YOUR LAND TRAINING! We've only got two more weekends to practice --- although we looked OK technically (reaches and rotations), still lacking power (which is where your land training comes in). We'll play with seating/strategy this weekend so each of you can maximize your output.
VIDEO of last SAT practice will be up later tonight in the "AeroDragons Only" section of our website. I can also e-mail it to you (5MB) if you'd like. Let me know if you need the password or would like it e-mailed instead . . .
