NEW BOATS (2 full boats, 3 10man boats) will be delivered to Marine Stadium on SUN DEC 3 - need volunteers to help unload boats and paddle to Mother's Beach - meet at about 8:30AM - let me know if you can be there! Will probably conduct practice if we have enough people.

VOTING RESULTS for next year's schedule and so far our races (in order of popularity are):
1. LB Dragon Boat Festival July 28-29 (date firm) - 73%
2. LB Local Race - April 29 (date firm) - 58%
3. Las Vegas - May 5 (date firm) - 39%
4. Hawaii - TBD August - 30%
5. San Francisco - Sept 23-24 (date firm) - 30%
7. Vancouver - June 16-17 (date firm) - 27%
POSSIBLE other races (we will vote again) - New York 15%, Arizona 12%
68.8% OF YOU prefer SAT practices. 51.6% of you wanted SAT only practices during the off season. Outrigger Day & Hiking Day tied for the most popular activity at 59.4% followed by Ski/Snowboard Day 50% and Bike/Volleyball Days at 49.6%
PRACTICE SAT ONLY --- PLEASE RSVP for SAT practice, make sure you arrive PROMPTLY at 9:30AM SAT for warm-up.
SUNDAY BIKE RIDE on The Strand from Torrance to Malibu. Let me know if you're interested
DON'T PARK ON APPIAN WAY - use the Boy Scout parking south of the 2nd St. bridge, or the metered parking.
REMEMBER in case of rain/sewage spill or other extenuating circumstance, find out status of practice by calling my cell phone at (310) 749-3592 after 8:00 AM on day of practice for a recorded message . . .
EAT SOMETHIN' in the morning before you come to practice (think bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc..). Your body needs food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade to hydrate yourself while paddling.
