MANDATORY SAT practices start THIS SAT for Long Beach Local Race Crew --- please try to make this practice AND as many practices as you can between now and race day April 22nd!
CONGRATULATIONS TO SARAH & KELLEY and the USA Team's Bronze win at the World Police & Fire Games in Australia.
PRACTICE WED & SAT & SUN --- PLEASE RSVP for WED, SAT and/or SUN practices, make sure you arrive at6:00PM WED, 9:30AM SAT or 8:30AM SUN for warm up.
WED PRACTICES - if you are running late, call Dee at 949-690-3854 to let him know.
LAND TRAINING --- Make sure you are doing 3 sets of 40 each sit-ups, push-ups and squats --- 3X/week!
DO NOT PARK ON APPIAN WAY. Please park in the metered parking or the Boy Scout lot south of 2nd Street bridge.
MEMBERSHIP DUES for 2007 are due NOW.
REMEMBER in case of rain/sewage spill or other extenuating circumstance, find out status of practice by calling my cell phone at (310) 749-3592 after 8:00 AM on day of practice for a recorded message . . .
EAT SOMETHING before practice (bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc.). You need food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade/Vitamin Water to drink while paddling.
