MIAMI RECAP - Congratulations Miami crew!! - we took 2nd Place in the Division B finals of the 2007 South Florida Dragon Boat Festival. Video of the heat where our steer (from Puff) lost control and sent us into the rocks - then our second start and recovery is up on the website. Trip highlights include: Wil climbing the coconut tree, fresh coconut, Lorie's birthday dunking (w/Josh as collateral damage), Michelle in line for butt slapping, conch fritters & key lime pie, the "UPS" man and Damon, Aaron and the underwater handstand competition, Eric's rape whistle, Black & Tans from the New York team . . . pictures from Mary, Dee, and John are uploaded to www.aerodragons.org/cpg --- pictures from Lorie are here - pictures from Iris are here --- pictures from Josh are here ---

PRACTICE SAT AT 9:30A AND SUN AT 7:30A. THIS SUNDAY will be the LAST SUNDAY practice of 2007 . We will continue with SAT practices throughout the off season

uth of 2nd Street bridge. REMEMBER in case of rain/sewage spill or other extenuating circumstance, find out status of practice by calling my cell phone at (310) 749-3592 on day of practice for a recorded message . .
EAT SOMETHING before practice (bananas, energy bars, carbs/protein, etc.). You need food to produce energy to paddle. We don't want you to get sick while out on the water. Also, bring water or Gatorade/Vitamin Water to drink while paddling.

THANK YOU, TEAM, for the digital frame; it was very thoughtful of you and it will help me remember all the great times we've had and will have together!
CONGRATULATIONS to Anthony Luna who will be our new TREASURER and Iris Dulay who will be our new RECRUITING/PUBLICITY Chair and 2nd Vice President.
THANKS to those of you who attended the meeting and hiked the horse trails. HIGHLIGHTS: Lorie and the "double double" bagel/cream cheese/lox/tomato/bacon sandwich. Kicking up dust descending the vertical trail from the tennis courts . . .Deb's quiches and Iris' French toast (do you guys share recipes?)
WEDNESDAY practices are pau (finished) for the year. We will start WED practices up again in the spring. THE LAST SUN practice for 2007 will be SUN OCT 28TH. SUN practices will also start up again next year. SAT practices will continue year-around as long as we have at least 6 people show up!
SAT & SUN PRACTICE continue the following weekend 10/20 - 10/21.
WISH THE MIAMI CREW the best next weekend at the 5th Annual South Florida Dragon Boat Festival. NO PRACTICE SAT - BRAD WILL CONDUCT PRACTICE WITH H2O ON SUN @ 7:30A - join them if you'd like.
NEED YOUR HELP - AeroDragons have been asked to put together a training video for the Southern CA Dragon Boat Club. If you've ever produced training videos and can help the weekend of 10/20-21 filming clips --- OR IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE VIDEO. This video will be required viewing as part of orientation for all paddlers/new teams.
COACHING & CALLING CLINIC set for SAT NOV 3RD (all day). Please let me or Dee know if you'd be interested in attending
PLANNING FOR UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS - possible FRI 10/26 or FRI 10/19. Details will follow.
