Hi Guys!
OK, time to get together and relax after practice on SAT August 30th (Labor Day Weekend).
We'll have the sand volleyball court and our tent up with munchies . . .
For now we need a headcount on who can make it --- friends and family are invited . . . please respond to this Evite!

PRACTICE resumes THIS SAT & SUN 9AM both days! SFO Crew --- please try and make as many practices as you can before race weekend, it'll be here before you know it! Be prepared for hard workouts both days . . . (bring water/energy drink/whatever gets you through it)
UPDATE ON SFO - Kaiser will be hosting us with their own chef (they are also hosting 2 other teams) and a pretty roomy tent in a prime location! In addition to our own MIXED boat, we will be fielding a MASTERS boat with
our friends from JET START and ROLI CANADA (2 of Canada's top competitive teams). MEN - we will be teaming with JET START. WOMEN - I need to know if you also want to participate in a Women's team? LOTS OF PADDLING ON THIS WEEKEND - EAT YOUR WHEATIES!REMINDER - volleyball/picnic after practice on August 30th --- please RSVP to the Evite.

PRACTICES THIS SAT & SUN - 8/9-8/10 - both days at 9AM. Great job to those of you paddling last SAT, especially to MING trying his hand at steering . . . those of you paddling 9-man outrigger races this month, let me know if you'll be with LOKAHI and don't get too bruised up before San Francisco!! :)

"A" TEAM TOOK 1st PLACE GOLD in Division IIA with at time of 2:15.46, our Open Men's team literally "lost by a nose" to Space
Dragons for 1st place in Open-B with a time of 2:18.62. Women started out strong in the first heat taking 1st place with a time of 2:46.63, and our "B" team did well considering almost half of the B paddlers are and only started within the last couple of months!SPECIAL THANKS GO OUT TO Debbie Barton who coordinated food, provided us with walkie-talkies, and was our guest team coordinator; Ming Chaung who was our statistician, videographer, and helped to get us to our races on time; Brad Chinen and Rob Chow who helped to volunteer steer us, Verizon, Belmont Shore and other random teams; and Iris Dulay, Lorie Chan, Visahka Jiam and Edith Chen who helped call/drum for us and Verizon (Jerry's team)!
